From our farm to your fork

Our beef and lamb come directly from our family farm to your butcher's counter.

Meet Our Family

At the heart of The Lambing Shed is our family farm, Moseley Hall Farm, where Mick has been farming with his family for over 60 years. Generations of knowledge, care and passion have gone into looking after the land and rearing our home-reared beef and lamb.

Today, it is a true family affair, with Mick’s son Robert and his wife Ruth taking over the reins and continuing the farming traditions that have been built over six decades. Together, they care for our cattle and sheep, from managing the fields and grazing land to ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.

This dedication to sustainable farming, quality produce and looking after the land is what makes our farm-to-fork meat
from Knutsford so special.

From Our Farm To The Butchers

At the heart of our farm shop butcher's counter in Knutsford is our Head Butcher, Matt, and his experienced team. With a passion for traditional butchery and quality British meat, Matt oversees every cut, ensuring our home-reared beef and lamb are prepared to the highest standard.

Our beef is dry-aged on site to maximise flavour and tenderness before Matt and the team expertly prepare everything from everyday family favourites to premium roasting joints and steaks.

They're always happy to share cooking advice, recommend the perfect cut and help you make the most of your meal.

From our fields to our butcher's counter, Matt and his team take great pride in delivering exceptional farm-to-fork meat you can trust.

Our  Grass Fed Beef

All our cattle are grass-fed at Moseley Hall Farm, grazing naturally on the nutrient-rich Cheshire countryside. This traditional approach helps produce home-reared beef with exceptional flavour, tenderness and quality.

Grass-fed beef has a distinctive, rich taste that reflects the natural environment where our cattle are raised. By allowing our animals to graze freely and grow at their natural pace, we create delicious farm-to-fork beef that is full of flavour and carefully produced from field to plate.

Our Lamb

Our lamb is raised on the lush pastures of Cheshire, grazing on fresh grass, herbs, and wildflowers, which gives it a unique, vibrant flavor.

Grass-fed lamb is naturally lean, yet tender, with a clean, herbaceous taste that reflects the care we put into raising our animals.

By prioritising animal welfare and allowing our lambs to grow in a stress-free environment, we ensure the highest quality meat – full of flavor and perfect for any dish. From tender chops to classic roasts, our lamb brings exceptional taste to your table!
