Jaunty Goat Coffee
Jaunty Goat use a Colombian coffee from the estate of La Esperanza, as the seasonal replacement for their Peruvian coffee.
La Esperanza is owned and operated by Jorge Edison Gonez Medina and his family, spanning 63 acres in the region of Pitalito Huila, Colombia, which has been in the family for three generations.
Jorge strives to produce coffee in a sustainable way, without polluting waters or cutting trees, in the surrounding environment.
To emphasise the body of this coffee and its potential as an espresso, it is combined with a Brazilian coffee from the various farm smallholders of the Santos cooperative.
The Brazilian component is dry-processed, meaning the beans are patio-dried while they are still in the cherry. This results in a coffee that is heavy in body, sweet, smooth, and complex. This coffee is also Rainforest Alliance Certified.
